12 Schuessler Cell Salt Descriptions 

Cell salts are twelve inorganic biochemicals found in the blood and tissues
 which catalyze essential processes. They include forms of calcium, iron, 
potassium, magnesium, sodium,and silica that work at the cellular level; 
hence, the name cell salts.
Minerals are essential to the proper functioning of your body. Having the
 right amount and proper balance brings cellular health, and healthy cells 
amount to a healthier you! 
Calcium
#1 Calc Fluor (Calcium Fluoride) is essential to the connective tissue of 
the body; for all conditions of tissue weakness, prolapse, or excessive 
hardness. It helps the tendons, ligaments, and joints of the body.
 Calc Fluor is used extensively for the teeth, instead of fluoride treatments 
of children, to strengthen enamel. Medical fluoride causes brittleness. 
Anywhere you find hardness of tissues, this remedy applies, which makes
 it valuable for cataracts of the eyes. Any extreme sagging of muscle or 
tissue calls for this salt. 
Facial signs include blue lips, brownish black circles under the eyes, white 
skin flakes, and translucent tips of teeth. Raised or fan-shaped wrinkles 
around the eyes, as well as cracked lips.
#2 Calc Phos (Calcium Phosphate) is used for bone health, injuries, and 
osteoporosis. Calcium metabolism, when disturbed, can causeosteoporosis
 or bone spurs (same problem, different manifestations). This salt treats
 both of them over the course of several months. It is also useful for teeth 
and digestive problems. 
Facial signs in the face are a yellowish waxy appearance, translucent tips
 of teeth, and white flakes in the teeth or fingernails. There is also a 
stretched-skin appearance on the cheekbones, and small or thin lips. 
#3 Calc Sulph (Calcium Sulphate) is used for infections, pus, and general
 toxicity of the body. The discharges are yellow and filled with pus. This 
salt is used to detoxify the body and improve digestion. Other uses are to 
finish, clean up, chronic infections and improve the immune system. 
Facial signs are an alabaster or dirty white coloring along the lower face or
 jaw line. There can also be liver spots or brown spots on the face. 
Iron
#4 Ferrum Phos (Ferrum Phosphate) is important for our blood and 
oxygenation of the blood. It is very useful for low fevers and the first 
signs of a cold or flu. It is the most useful for nose bleeds or other 
blood conditions, even hemorrhages. It is helpful for balancing iron in
 the body whether it is high in some situations, or low in others, such as
 seen in pregnancy. It works to reduce anemia by helping the body to
 absorb iron. 
Facial signs are seen as bluish black circles under the eyes. Acutely, 
we see red cheeks and ears, in fever condition. One also sees a 
sleepless or hung-over appearance.   Chronic iron conditions are 
seen in anemia which can show as paleness in the face. 
Potassium
#5 Kali Mur (Potassium Chloride) is used with medium fever conditions. 
It is useful for mucus conditions of the body, especially for mucus of the
 lungs with coughs, allergies, etc. The conditions for this cell salt are
 grey or thick white mucus. 
Facial signs shown in the face are a milky appearance to the skin; this 
may be mixed with red, purple or blue. I have seen much success in acne 
rosacea with underlying spider veins, as well as raised bumps just below 
the shoulders on the upper arms. 
Cell Salt - Kali Muriaticum
Kali Mur. is the blood conditioner. First aid for burns.
•	Catarrh - second stage with thick, white phlegm and congested feeling
                   - chronic catarrh with difficulty breathing.
•	Colds - second stage of cold when there is white phlegm and congestion.
•	Constipation - with indigestion and white tongue; after eating rich foods.
•	Coughs - with white phlegm; white or grey coated tongue; children's cough, 
         child will grasp throat when coughing.
•	Diarrhea - caused by rich, fatty foods, desserts. Stools are pale and
         tongue is coated white.
•	Ear - congestion; catarrh of middle ear; ear pain when flying.
•	Skin Ailments - eczema; abscesses; boils, all kinds of skin conditions;
           chief remedy for small pox.
•	Sore Throat - alternate with Ferrum Phos. when swelling of glands or
           tonsils is present; difficulty swallowing.
•	Tonsilitis - second remedy as soon as there is any swelling - tonsils
           spotted white or gray.
•	Minor Wounds, Sprains and Strains - for swelling - alternate with
           Ferrum Phos.
        KEYNOTES
•	Symptoms Worse - with rich foods; fatty foods; motion.
Kali Mur. will have "white" symptoms, i.e., mucus is white, tongue is white,
             discharges are white.

#6 Kali Phos (Potassium Phosphate) helps the nerves and gray matter 
of the brain. When the nerves are depleted by stress, we can see
 depression or sleeplessness. This is also used in pain and paralysis, 
fear,suspicion, weakness of memory. This remedy is for the anxious 
and nervous person. Nerves affected by Kali Phos are of the central 
nervous system. 
Facial signs show in an ashen gray appearance as well as a dull 
appearance of the eyes (they don't sparkle). One also can see, in
 more chronic conditions, sunken temples or cheeks. Bad breath 
and body odor (nervous sweat) is also a sign. 
#7 Kali Sulph (Potassium Sulphate) is specific to the third stage of 
inflammation or resolution. We find yellow discharges wherever there
 is a lack of sulphate in the system. There is breakdown of the skin and 
high fevers from infections or inflammations. This is the body's attempt 
to foster the bacteria to do their job of getting rid of self-inflicted toxins
 from a poor diet, or polluted conditions of living in a modern world. 
When this brings sweating, it is near the end of the toxic condition. It 
is used for eczema, sinusitis, asthma, psoriasis, and more. 
Facial signs are seen as brownish-yellow pigmentation of the nose-mouth 
area. Liver spots, pregnancy mask, freckles, or a lack of pigmentation
 (vitiligo). 
Magnesium
#8 Mag Phos (Magnesium Phosphate) is a nerve remedy also, but deals 
with muscular nerves and fibers. The symptoms are cramping, fast onset, 
primarily on the right side of the body. This mineral affects and feeds the 
heart and cardiovascular system. It is a great antispasmodic, useful for 
many areas of the body, including menstrual cramps. Mag Phos has a
 particular sign of symptoms being relieved by heat and pressure. 
Facial signs are seen as blushing, in acute conditions. In chronic situations 
we see a constant redness of the cheeks of a bright "magnesium redness" 
of a long standing character on the nose; this can especially be seen in 
those with liver damage, including alcoholics. 
Sodium 
#9 Nat Mur (Sodium Chloride) is one of the most famous cell salts for 
digestion, arthritis, and water distribution problems. The key is dryness 
of the mucus membranes or excessively watery discharges. Emotionally 
one sees grief and personal isolation. The person is very sensitive; prefers 
to be alone (for a defense). There may be malnutrition, constipation, 
anemia, and thin salty watery discharges from the body. 
Facial signs are seen in a gelatinous appearance in the lower eyelid border. 
The hair line is often red and greasy. Large pores are a sign, as well as 
dandruff, puffy cheeks and a bloated appearance. 
Cell Salt - Natrum Muriaticum
Natrum Mur. distributes water throughout the body. Its main function is to 
maintain moisture throughout the entire system. Too much moisture or 
excessive dryness is a chief indication for Natrum Mur. This salt also
 produces hydrochloric acid. Having too little hydrochloric acid will slow 
digestion. The person needing Natrum Mur. may eat too much salt or 
not use salt at all. This is also a major grief remedy; consolation only 
aggravates. They hold onto past injustices; dwell on their misery and 
also dwell on the past. They do not trust easily; have to analyze everything.
 This is also a major remedy for cold sores. Natrum Mur. people cannot pass
 urine if anyone is nearby.
•	Colds - starts with sneezing; nose runny at first and later becomes 
         stopped up; difficult breathing; chilliness; general feeling of discomfort.
•	Diarrhea - alternates with constipation. Watery diarrhea; hard stools 
        difficult to expel.
•	Earache - roaring and ringing in the ears; dullness of hearing with 
          watery symptoms; cracking when chewing; itching, burning and stinging.
•	Eyes - neuralgic pains causing tears; sharp pain when looking down; 
        pain when moving eyes.
•	Hair - supplementary remedy for dandruff and hair loss. Can be taken 
        with Kali Sulph and Silicea.
•	Hay Fever - watery discharges with sensation of itching and tingling in 
        the nose.
•	Headache - dull, heavy headache with drowsiness; wakes from sleep 
        feeling unrefreshed.
•	Hiccups - after eating fast. Alternate with Magnesia Phos. if spasms persist.
•	Hives - eruptions having a clear, watery contents; nettlerash after becoming 
        overheated.
•	Menstruation - for depression and lassitude. Thin watery discharge;
         headache in the mornings.
•	Mind - melancholy, prefers to be alone; irritable; consolation aggravates; 
          cries easily; memory weak; forgetfulness; holds onto grudges; relives the past.
•	Mouth - blisters around mouth; profuse salivation; cracks and ulcers on the
         lips and corners of the mouth; sensation of hair on tongue.
•	Pain - pains accompanied by an increase of watery secretions, such as tears, 
        nasal discharges, and urine. Pulsations felt all over the body. Pains in the back
         relieved by lying on something hard; painful blisters with watery contents. Itching
        of nettlerash. The pains sometimes appear at regular intervals.
•	Sinus - clear, watery discharge causing soreness. Salty taste.
•	Skin Ailments - skin eruptions when the discharges are clear and watery; 
         excessive dryness of the skin. Blisters, nettlerash, bites and stings of insects 
        (applied locally); violent itching; eczema; shingles (alternate with Kali Mur).
•	Sunstroke - this is the chief remedy to regulate the distribution of moisture. 
        It should be given at frequent intervals.
•	Urinary Symptoms - frequent urge to urinate; incontinence in children 
       (alternate with Kali Phos). Involuntary urination while walking, coughing, 
       laughing, etc.; cannot urinate in the presence of others.

#10 Nat Phos (Sodium Phosphate) governs the acid balance of the body. 
      Alkalinity is health and over acid conditions allow for disease. The tongue 
      often has a yellow mucus coating. Acid signs are seen as sour body smell or
       sour-smelling discharges. Indigestion is a sign of lack of this salt. Candida
       infections, or vaginal yeast, as well as parasites come with over acid conditions also. 
      Facial signs are seen in blackheads and a greasy combination skin. Yellow
      raised pimple-like bumps around the eyes. The chin is red. Cheeks have dry 
      or greasy appearance. Rings or metal jewelry can cause discoloration on the 
      skin because of acidity. 
#11 Nat Sulph (Sodium Sulphate) is responsible for liver health and is used for 
       those with head injuries where one has become depressed and irritable. 
       As with all sulphates, there are yellow discharges. This salt is responsible 
       for helping the body to get rid of excess water. This is valuable for those 
       with water retention. One can also use this for all kinds of hepatitis. Used 
       for diabetes and also for asthma in children, especially in damp weather. 
       This person may also be experiencing bad-smelling gas. 
       Facial signs include a slight greenish cast in acute conditions, as well as a 
       yellow eye sclera. There are signs of swollen lower eye bags. In chronic 
       conditions where the liver is damaged, a swollen purplish red nose will 
       appear, again, especially in alcoholics. 
Silica 
#12 Silicea (Silica) is responsible for connective tissue weakness and the body's
       ability to rid itself of foreign objects. This is done by creating pus. This remedy 
       can dissolve scar tissue, and is very useful for keloid scars, skin problems, and 
       vaccination reactions. Emotionally, those needing Silica are timid; their hands         
       and feet are continuously cold. They often wear sweaters in the heat of the summer. 
      Facial signs include a glossy polished shine, as a bald man has, and wrinkles of the
      skin. Silica has specific wrinkles that run parallel to the ears, crows feet, and more. 
      Generally, you will see deep set eyes. Hair may be brittle, along with finger and toe 
      nails. This deficiency is also seen as red eyes. 
Bioplasma
Bioplasma is a combination of all 12 mineral salts which provides a broad-spectrum
